Description

The sunflower is often associated with warmth, resilience, and the natural pull toward what nourishes us. This reflects the quiet choice to orient yourself toward light, even when circumstances are imperfect.
The open center is openness, growth, and space for becoming. Like the sunflower, we are not meant to ignore shadows, but to continue reaching toward what helps us thrive.
This is a reminder that joy can be intentional. We can choose where we place our attention, what we grow toward, and what we allow to shape us. Even rooted in the same soil, we still get to turn toward the sun.
Each pair of Sunshine on Tap earrings is thoughtfully cut, and assembled by hand on site.
Our colorful designs are hand-painted on Baltic birch, using the wood as a natural canvas. Each piece is painted by hand, so subtle variations in color and brushwork ensure no two pairs are ever exactly the same.
During the laser-cutting process, the wood naturally develops a soft, singed edge. Rather than removing this entirely, we intentionally leave hints of it in place. This gentle darkening adds contrast, depth, and character, an organic reminder of the process and the hands behind each piece.
Many designs can be finished with a bead of your choice. Please refer to the bead chart when ordering to select the bead you’d like your earrings made with. Each bead brings its own look, allowing you to personalize your pair in a way that feels meaningful to you.
Because every step is done by hand—from cutting to painting to final assembly, small variations are part of the magic.
Every purchase supports Sunshine on Tap, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people reconnect with joy, wonder, and the quiet magic woven into everyday life. When you wear these earrings, you’re not just wearing art, you’re supporting a mission rooted in creativity, kindness, and community.
