Description

The leaf is a symbol of growth, cycles, and connection to the natural world. It reflects how life continually renews itself through change, shedding what is no longer needed and allowing new growth to emerge.
The open form of this shows balance between strength and flexibility. Like a leaf, we are shaped by our environment, yet still rooted in what sustains us. Growth does not require urgency, it happens in its own rhythm.
This is a reminder to stay connected to what grounds you, to honor cycles of rest and renewal, and to trust that steady growth is enough.
Each pair of Sunshine on Tap earrings is thoughtfully cut, and assembled by hand on site.
For those who love natural, unpainted wood, earrings are available in Baltic birch or cedar, allowing the unique grain and tone of each wood to shine. Baltic birch offers a lighter, clean look, while cedar bring deeper, earthier hues.
Our colorful designs are hand-painted on Baltic birch, using the wood as a natural canvas. Each piece is painted by hand, so subtle variations in color and brushwork ensure no two pairs are ever exactly the same.
During the laser-cutting process, the wood naturally develops a soft, singed edge. Rather than removing this entirely, we intentionally leave hints of it in place. This gentle darkening adds contrast, depth, and character, an organic reminder of the process and the hands behind each piece.
Many designs can be finished with a bead of your choice. Please refer to the bead chart when ordering to select the bead you’d like your earrings made with. Each bead brings its own look, allowing you to personalize your pair in a way that feels meaningful to you.
Because every step is done by hand—from cutting to painting to final assembly, small variations are part of the magic.
Every purchase supports Sunshine on Tap, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people reconnect with joy, wonder, and the quiet magic woven into everyday life. When you wear these earrings, you’re not just wearing art, you’re supporting a mission rooted in creativity, kindness, and community.
