Description

The Triquetra, also known as the Celtic Trinity Knot, is one of the oldest symbols in Celtic tradition. Its continuous, interwoven form represents three elements held in balance, commonly interpreted as life, death, and rebirth, earth, sea, and sky, mind, body, and spirit, or past, present, and future.
The unbroken lines symbolize eternity, interconnectedness, and the belief that life is not made of separate parts, but of experiences that flow into one another. Historically, the Triquetra reflects balance, continuity, and the sacred nature of threes within Celtic culture.
The Triquetra invites harmony among the many aspects of yourself. Strength and softness, growth and rest, logic and intuition can coexist without conflict. Rather than choosing one path over another, wholeness is found in allowing different parts of life to move together in balance.
This serves as a reminder that integration, not division, creates stability, and that balance is something lived and practiced, not something fixed.
Each pair of Sunshine on Tap earrings is thoughtfully cut, and assembled by hand on site.
For those who love natural, unpainted wood, earrings are available in Baltic birch or cedar, allowing the unique grain and tone of each wood to shine. Baltic birch offers a lighter, clean look, while cedar bring deeper, earthier hues.
Our colorful designs are hand-painted on Baltic birch, using the wood as a natural canvas. Each piece is painted by hand, so subtle variations in color and brushwork ensure no two pairs are ever exactly the same.
During the laser-cutting process, the wood naturally develops a soft, singed edge. Rather than removing this entirely, we intentionally leave hints of it in place. This gentle darkening adds contrast, depth, and character, an organic reminder of the process and the hands behind each piece.
Many designs can be finished with a bead of your choice. Please refer to the bead chart when ordering to select the bead you’d like your earrings made with. Each bead brings its own look, allowing you to personalize your pair in a way that feels meaningful to you.
Because every step is done by hand—from cutting to painting to final assembly, small variations are part of the magic.
Every purchase supports Sunshine on Tap, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people reconnect with joy, wonder, and the quiet magic woven into everyday life. When you wear these earrings, you’re not just wearing art, you’re supporting a mission rooted in creativity, kindness, and community.
